Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Request and plan min one weeks in advance for full PPE (if applicable), schedule of SIC, site location and contact Personal on the first day of work.
  • Attend complete orientation, introduction of superior, JSJD, clear scope of work and necessary drawing or documents on First day of work on site. And conduct site orientation for team members.
  • Supervise and coordinate welding activities on-site or in the workshop.
  • Review welding procedures (WPS), drawings, and specifications.
  • Ensure welding activities comply with industry standards (e.g., ASME, AWS, ISO)
  • Assign tasks to welders and monitor progress and quality of work.
  • Conduct visual inspections and liaise with Quality Control/QA teams for NDT.
  • Attend the project safety site walks and actively involved in safety improvements.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of welding equipment.
  • Maintain records of welder qualifications, welding logs, and inspection report.
  • Provide technical guidance and on-the-job training to welding personnel.
  • Enforce health, safety, and environmental policies at all times.
  • Check the Project Required Mandatory Courses for Workers and Arrange for Training In Line with Training Matrix.
  • Coordinate with respective trainer and arrange the RFU trainings for each activity and monitor the training records.
  • Check the daily PTW system and make sure all activities shall be covered by PTW system.
  • Check the assigned activities at site and make sure works shall ongoing well with quality and safety & On-time.
  • Plan and prepare minimum one month in advance Manpower, Material, Machinery as per given task.
  • Prepare minimum 3 days in advance Daily Work Instruction (DWI) to delegate work daily to individual crew.
  • Work Progress Update and Mitigation Plan Discussing in Daily Toolbox Meetings and Weekly Meetings.
  • Monitor and Daily update for work status to Field Engineer.
  • Check & Inspect Welding machine, Argon Cylinder, Argon Hose, & Welding Accessories before & after work.
  • To arrange and conduct WQT for the Welders for the new projects.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Preferably Higher secondary/ Pre-U/ A level/ College/ Diploma/ Advanced/ Higher/ Graduate Diploma
  • Preferably minimum 6 to 8 years’ experience in related field
  • Good verbal and written English language proficiency as well as effective communication skills
  • Positive attitude with good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
