Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare metal surfaces for welding by meticulously removing rust, scale, and contaminants using various grinding tools to ensure weld integrity.
- Execute precise grinding and finishing operations on welded joints, achieving smooth surfaces and meeting specified dimensional tolerances.
- Inspect welds before and after grinding, identifying and rectifying any defects to maintain quality and adherence to standards.
- Maintain grinding equipment, including routine cleaning, blade changes, and troubleshooting minor mechanical issues to ensure optimal performance.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent is a plus.
- Completion of a vocational training program in metalworking or a related field is preferred.
- Possession of relevant certifications, such as those related to abrasive wheel safety, is a strong advantage.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a similar role within the manufacturing or construction industry is highly valued.
