Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Orchestrate and optimize warehouse operations, ensuring seamless flow of goods from receipt to dispatch, boosting efficiency, and minimizing bottlenecks.
  • Implement and enforce stringent inventory control procedures, leveraging technology to maintain accuracy, reduce losses, and optimize stock levels.
  • Lead and mentor a high-performing warehouse team, fostering a culture of safety, continuous improvement, and professional development, building a motivated workforce.
  • Manage and maintain warehouse budgets, controlling costs, identifying savings opportunities, and maximizing profitability through resource optimization.
  • Oversee the implementation of warehouse management systems (WMS) and other relevant technologies, streamlining processes and enhancing operational visibility.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations, creating a safe working environment and mitigating risks, protecting both personnel and assets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including procurement, logistics, and sales, to align warehouse operations with overall business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor warehouse performance, identifying areas for improvement and driving data-driven decisions.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services, building strategic partnerships.
  • Proactively identify and address operational challenges, implementing solutions to improve efficiency, reduce errors, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field, providing a strong foundation for operational excellence.
  • Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in warehouse management, demonstrating a proven track record of success and leadership.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale warehouse operations, handling high volumes of inventory, and optimizing space utilization.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and manage WMS and other warehouse technologies, improving accuracy, efficiency, and real-time visibility.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles and best practices, ensuring accuracy, minimizing losses, and optimizing stock levels.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment and mitigating risks.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate, develop, and mentor a diverse team.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, enabling data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, facilitating effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, and experience with warehouse management software, driving operational efficiency.
