Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Efficiently receive and unload incoming shipments, ensuring all items are accounted for and any discrepancies are promptly reported.
- Organize and maintain the warehouse layout, utilizing space effectively to maximize storage and facilitate easy access to items.
- Perform regular inventory checks and assist in maintaining accurate stock records to support inventory management practices.
- Prepare orders for shipment by selecting the correct items, packaging them securely, and labeling them accurately for delivery.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts and pallet jacks, with a focus on safety and adherence to operational protocols.
- Assist in the loading of outgoing shipments, ensuring that products are loaded securely and efficiently for transport.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High School diploma or equivalent is preferred, demonstrating foundational literacy and numeracy skills.
- Prior experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a strong advantage, ideally 1-2 years.
- Certifications in forklift operation or safety training are highly desirable to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems and barcode scanning technology can set candidates apart.
- Physical ability to lift heavy items (up to 50 lbs) and remain on feet for extended periods is essential.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in order fulfillment and inventory management.
