Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and communicate them efficiently to the kitchen, minimizing errors and maximizing customer satisfaction.
- Serve food and drinks with attention to presentation and timing, ensuring that each dish meets the restaurant's quality standards.
- Handle cash and card transactions with precision, issuing receipts and maintaining an organized cash drawer throughout shifts.
- Manage customer inquiries and complaints with professionalism, resolving issues swiftly to retain customer loyalty.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service and smooth operations during high-pressure rush hours.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, ensuring a pleasant environment for patrons and adherence to health regulations.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking supplies and alerting management of low stock levels to avoid service delays.
- Upsell menu items and daily specials to enhance customer experience and increase sales for the establishment.
- Participate in training new staff members on service protocols and cash handling procedures to foster a cohesive team environment.
Desired Candidate Profile
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional hospitality or business training is a plus.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced restaurant or café environment, demonstrating proficiency in similar roles.
- Previous experience handling cash and knowledge of POS systems to ensure efficient transaction processing.
- Fluent in English, with additional language skills preferred to accommodate a diverse clientele.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a customer-centric attitude, capable of engaging positively with a variety of patrons.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, to meet the demands of the restaurant industry.
- Familiarity with food safety regulations and health codes to ensure compliance and uphold quality standards.
