Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed analyses of utility systems, identifying inefficiencies and recommending solutions to optimize energy and water usage.
- Oversee the design and implementation of utility infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative utility management strategies that align with organizational goals.
- Monitor utility performance metrics and prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders, highlighting trends and areas for improvement.
- Implement robust maintenance schedules for utility systems, minimizing downtime and extending the life of critical infrastructure.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry best practices, integrating relevant advancements into existing utility operations.
- Lead troubleshooting efforts for utility system failures, employing diagnostic tools to quickly restore service and prevent future issues.
- Engage with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal utility regulations, actively participating in audits and inspections.
- Facilitate training sessions for staff on utility operations and safety protocols, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Develop and manage budgets for utility projects, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and adherence to financial constraints.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, preferably in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil disciplines.
- 3-5 years of relevant experience in utility engineering or a related field, demonstrating a solid understanding of utility systems.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is highly valued, showcasing commitment to industry standards.
- Experience in project management, including the ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects to completion.
- Proven ability to analyze complex data sets and present findings in a clear, actionable format to diverse audiences.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with stakeholders at all levels.
- A collaborative mindset, capable of working in diverse teams and building strong relationships within the organization.
- Familiarity with utility regulations and standards, ensuring compliance and minimizing legal risks for the organization.
- Physical ability to perform site visits and inspections, including the willingness to work in various environmental conditions.
