Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults rapidly within residential, commercial, or industrial settings, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Conduct emergency repairs of electrical systems, including wiring, fixtures, and equipment, to restore power and safety.
  • Install new electrical systems and components, adhering strictly to safety codes and regulations in Dubai.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections of electrical systems to identify and prevent potential issues.
  • Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to determine the layout of electrical installations.
  • Ensure all work is performed to the highest standards of quality and in compliance with local safety regulations.
  • Respond to emergency calls promptly and provide efficient, effective solutions to electrical problems.
  • Communicate clearly with clients to explain issues and provide solutions, while maintaining a professional demeanor.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed, including materials used and time spent on each job.
  • Carry out risk assessments and adhere to all health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Hold a valid Electrical License or certification recognized by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA).
  • Minimum of 3 years of proven experience as an electrician, with a focus on urgent or emergency electrical work.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and equipment.
  • Exhibit proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical faults efficiently and accurately.
  • Possess excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and find effective solutions under pressure.
  • Be fluent in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Show a strong commitment to safety, adhering to all safety regulations and protocols.
  • Possess a Diploma or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field is essential.
  • Be physically fit and able to work in various conditions, including heights and confined spaces.
  • Display a proactive and responsible attitude, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
