Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Orchestrate the daily transportation schedules, ensuring optimal route planning and vehicle utilization to minimize operational costs.
  • Manage a fleet of vehicles, overseeing maintenance schedules, repairs, and inspections to guarantee vehicle safety and operational readiness.
  • Supervise a team of drivers and transport staff, providing clear instructions, performance evaluations, and fostering a positive work environment.
  • Implement and enforce transport policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company guidelines.
  • Oversee fuel consumption and related expenses, implementing strategies to reduce costs and improve fuel efficiency across the fleet.
  • Handle all accident and incident investigations, preparing detailed reports and coordinating with insurance providers.
  • Monitor and analyze transportation data, identifying trends and recommending improvements to optimize efficiency and reduce expenses.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Possesses a High School Diploma or equivalent; a Bachelor's degree in Logistics or a related field is preferred.
  • Demonstrates 5+ years of experience in transport management, preferably within the logistics or a related industry.
  • Exhibits strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Possesses a valid driver's license and a clean driving record, if required for the role.
  • Shows a strong work ethic, a commitment to safety, and a dedication to achieving operational excellence.
