Testing Commissioning Engineer AL-FANAR CLOSED JOINT STOCK COMPANY

Alfanar Projects is seeking experienced Testing & Commissioning Engineers to support our high-voltage (HV/EHV) substation projects across Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in substation testing and commissioning, with preference given to those approved by the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) or with previous project experience in KSA or India. This is a critical role ensuring the reliable and safe energization of power systems as part of our ongoing infrastructure expansion.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform testing and commissioning of HV/EHV substations (up to 380kV).
• Conduct functional and protection relay testing, CT/PT testing, breaker timing, and other related electrical tests.
• Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, and client teams during all phases of commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, SEC standards, and safety regulations.
• Prepare and maintain detailed test reports and commissioning documentation.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical protection and control systems.
• Support energization and post-commissioning activities as required.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in testing & commissioning of HV/EHV substations.
• Preferred: SEC-approved or previous experience working on SEC projects.
• Location Experience: Work experience in KSA or India is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of electrical testing procedures, equipment, and relay logic.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and regulatory standards in the power sector.
• Proficient in reading electrical schematics, drawings, and control logic.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
