Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist in reviewing and analyzing tender and prequalification documents to identify key requirements, risks, and submission strategies.
- Participate in the preparation of BOQs, cost estimates, and both technical and commercial offers in coordination with related departments.
- Support in preparing technical requirements, specifications, and compliance documentation for tenders.
- Follow up on RFQs with vendors and subcontractors to ensure timely receipt of quotations and technical data.
- Assist in evaluating technical and commercial offers and preparing comparison sheets for management review and approval.
- Participate in contract drafting and negotiation under the guidance of the Section Head to ensure alignment with project and company standards.
- Coordinate bid clarifications and communicate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors during pre- and post-bid stages.
- Collaborate with Project, Planning, and Procurement teams to ensure the submitted offers are technically compliant and cost-efficient.
- Maintain organized tender records, pricing data, and documentation for reference and audit purposes.
- Ensure that all tender submissions comply with internal procedures, legal, and client requirements.
- Prepare periodic reports on bid progress, evaluation results, and outcomes for Section Head and management review.
- Conduct market research and gather data on suppliers, competitors, and project opportunities to support bid strategy development.
- Supervise and support the tendering team members to ensure accuracy and timely submission of all documents.
- Promote effective communication and collaboration among cross-functional teams throughout the tendering process.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelor s degree in electrical engineering.
- 4 9 years of experience in tendering, estimation, or proposal engineering, within substation or EPC projects.
- Good understanding of tendering procedures, contract drafting, and negotiation fundamentals.
- Strong technical and commercial analysis skills.
- Strong analytical and organizational skills.
- Excellent coordination, and communication abilities.
- Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, cost estimation tools & ERP/Tendering systems.
- Ability to manage multiple bids under tight deadlines with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Willingness to participate in bid clarification meetings.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail.
- Good negotiation and vendor coordination skills.
