Job Description

As a Teller, you will play a crucial role within our financial institution by providing exceptional customer service and performing a variety of financial transactions. These might include processing deposits and withdrawals, maintaining and balancing cash drawers, and offering assistance and advice to customers on products and services. The role demands an individual with precision and integrity, as you'll handle significant transactions and sensitive information while also ensuring compliance with banking regulations and policies. Working on the frontline, you re integral to our team and the experience of our customers, ensuring that all their financial transactions are processed efficiently and accurately each day.


Responsibilities
  • Process customer transactions including deposits, withdrawals, and transfers efficiently and accurately.
  • Greet customers warmly and handle their queries effectively to ensure satisfaction.
  • Maintain and balance cash drawers daily to ensure accuracy at the end of each shift.
  • Assist customers with information on bank products and services, maximizing their banking experience.
  • Ensure compliance with all banking regulations, policies, and procedures during transactions.
  • Identify opportunities to refer customers to other banking departments to meet their financial needs.
  • Handle customer complaints and resolve issues promptly or refer to appropriate personnel.
  • Verify and process loan payments, utility payments, and other transactions as required.
  • Participate in internal audits and assist in balancing and reconciling banks cash drawer accounts.
  • Contribute towards branch sales goals by achieving personal sales targets and objectives.
  • Protect customer information and personal data following privacy and security standards.
  • Participate in training sessions and workshops to enhance product knowledge and service skills.

Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required for this position.
  • Previous experience in a customer service or banking role is advantageous.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and attention to detail are essential skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse customers.
  • Basic computer skills including familiarity with banking software and applications.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills to resolve customer issues swiftly and effectively.
