Roles & Responsibilities
Geographic, hierarchical, and functional positioning of the position:
It is geographically located at the Kenitra-Mansouria, Sidi El Aidi, Benguerrir, or Marrakech work sites (MOROCCO).
It reports to the System Lot Manager in Rabat.
Local candidates only
The Signaling Technician's role encompasses the Detailed Design, Construction
, and Testing phases of the Kenitra-Marrakech High-Speed Rail Project in Morocco.
The signaling and telecommunications contracts are design-build contracts.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Signaling Technician is responsible for ensuring that all tasks related
to the system package, along both the conventional (TVE) and high-speed (LGV) lines from Kenitra to
Marrakech, comply with the PPLG quality framework and the
project master schedule.
The main tasks fall under nine key areas:
Signaling and Power Works Monitoring Services
- The Signaling Technician is responsible for monitoring the signaling and
power services included in the Signaling/Telecom system contracts for the TVE and
LGV sections from Kenitra to Marrakech. This includes verifying and monitoring the
preparation of the work:
o Work procedures
o Tooling conformity
o Personnel qualifications
o Equipment conformity o
Proper execution of work in accordance with the approved execution plans and
validated execution procedures.
- The Signaling Technician participates in progress meetings .
Quality Assurance Process
- The Signaling Technician must ensure the verification of the application of the
quality assurance process by the work companies, namely:
o Participating in the resolution of hold points and control points according to the
company's quality plan
o Monitoring the quality of organization and control of the companies within the
system groups during the execution of the work,
o Applying the project management assistance control plan
o Ensuring the application of the engineering procedures and rules established by the
manufacturers for the execution of the work
o Verifying the implementation of the procedure for identifying,
processing, and managing non-conformities.
Desired Candidate Profile
Required profile:
Proven knowledge of signaling systems,
extensive experience in signaling work (new installations and modifications, etc.),
extensive experience in quality assurance for signaling work, sound knowledge of signaling equipment and installation, wiring, and commissioning
rules , experience in signaling testing, analytical and problem-solving skills, advisory and writing skills, strong organizational skills, autonomy, rigor, and methodical approach. Ability to report information (monitoring and event reporting), ability to communicate and work in a multidisciplinary and multinational team and network, to integrate the constraints of other trades and applicable Moroccan regulations, and to propose globally optimized and innovative solutions.
