Urgently required for a leading Engineering & Construction Company involved in Operation & Maintenance of Facility Management Industry in Saudi Arabia.

Main Purpose of the Job

HVAC Technician-A is expected to upkeep the HVAC systems and equipment in sound operational status. This includes operation & maintenance of all HVAC systems, regular inspection of systems and equipment status, conducting preventive and corrective maintenance, responding to maintenance calls, troubleshooting and repairs of faults and failures, , performing prescribed standard testing and commissioning of systems and equipment when applicable

Main Competencies required for the Position

-Can utilize standard industry tools and instruments

-Has good theoretical knowledge of and practical experience in refrigeration and air condition systems

-Experienced in DX and chilled water HVAC systems including Heat Recovery, CAV/VAV systems, AHU & FCU Systems, Packaged DX Units, Split Units, Ducted Split Units and Evaporative Coolers

-Can conduct standard maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on all common HVAC systems and equipment

-Can identify and request proper spare parts.

-Can conduct testing and commissioning of standard equipment and systems

-Proven quality written and verbal communication skills in English.

-Gentle behavioral skills including listening and comprehending from superiors, guiding, mentoring and transferring knowledge to fellow technicians and coaching ability.

-Ability to handle multiple tasks

-Knowledge of safety procedures especially in relation to working with electricals (work permit, LOTO, Isolation, Risk Assessment).

Main Duties / Responsibilities

-Conducts preventive and corrective maintenance on all standard types of HVAC systems

-Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical and faults of standard HVAC systems and components

-Replace or repair HVAC system automation electronic components.

-Conducts testing and commissioning when applicable

-Conducts regular inspections over the HVAC systems and equipment and reports finding

-Conserve, install and recycle CFC and HCFC refrigerants.

-Install or repair of refrigerant lines

-Install or repair chilled water. water supply and drain lines.

-Respond to maintenance calls swiftly

-Quickly identify and rectify problems and escalate as necessary.

-Identify needed and requests spare parts

-Prepare and administer relevant registers.

-Support superiors in preparation, coordination and planning to attain efficient and effective performance.

-Preserves project SLAs and ensures to complete work within allowed time

-Participate in El-Seif performance Management reviews

-Attendance on-site on a full time basis.

-Follow safety procedures and use of PPE

Minimum qualifications / educational levels required for this position

-Recognized technician level certificate or diploma in HVAC.

-Excellent communication skills in English.

Selection Criteria

-Written and or Trade test to verify:

-Experience in facilities management projects

-Knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning theory and practice

-Capability of troubleshooting of refrigeration and air conditioning faults

-Demonstrable commitment to continued professional development

-Good command of English both written and spoken.

-Pass company standard HVAC technician s test
