Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications

monitor and maintain computer systems and networks

Performs primary network system administration as needed.

talk staff or clients through a series of actions, either face-to-face or over the
phone, to help set up systems or resolve issues

Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves hardware, software, and network_x0002_related problems in labs and staff rooms.

Assists in coordinating special projects, including network-related wiring
plans, LAN/WAN hardware/software purchases, and system installation,
backup, maintenance, and problem-solving.

Troubleshoot system and network problems, diagnosing and solving hardware
or software faults.

Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations and
determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes.

Assist personnel of other departments as a computer resource.

To act as a help desk for students and staff.

Any other duties assigned by the reporting Head

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's/Diploma in IT or related qualification

Experience:

1 - 3 years experience in a similar role

Experience of operating in an education environment

Experience in customer service roles will be advantageous for this job, as this will demonstrate that you have the desired communication and people skills

Knowledge:

A thorough knowledge of operating systems, networking, hardware, and software

install and configure computer hardware, operating systems, and applications

monitor and maintain computer systems and networks

Technical/Work-based Skills:

Excellent problem-solving skills and a desire to learn.

The ability to troubleshoot problems in PCs and Servers.

a good memory of how software and operating systems work

The ability to prioritize, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.

excellent listening and questioning skills, combined with the ability to interact confidently with clients to establish what the problem is and explain the solution

General Skills/Attributes:

Ability to work alone or within a team.

Well communication skills (Arabic and English).
