Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Update and/or develop Detail Risk Assessment (DRA) as per COMPANY referential SD-COMPANY-SAF-001. DRA involves isolatable section definition, parts count, frequency analysis, event tree analysis, consequence analysis using PHAST and Risk analysis.

Update and/or develop Major Risk Registers based on DRA.

Perform ALARP demonstration based on DRA outcome.

Perform and/or update flare radiation and flare dispersion study.

Update Safety and Environmental Critical Elements (SECE) register and associated Performance Standards.

Prepare assumption register and methodology for technical Safety studies.

Perform and/or update non process hazard Risk Assessment studies:o Ship collisionbr>o Dropped Object

Update safety concept as per GM-COMPANY-SAF-007.

Perform or/and update EERA study for normal and SIMOPS cases.

Participate in Safety engineering workshops (HAZID/ HAZOP/ SIL/ ALARP demonstration). Chair HAZID and HAZOP if required.

Provide safety input to field operations, Engineering & Construction, Major Projects and SIMOPS

Represent HSEQ/IMR and participate in safety engineering reviews associated with conceptual studies, engineering studies and modifications.

Prepare scope of work for all safety engineering studies including technological risk assessments studies.

Participate in Safety engineering workshops (HAZID/ HAZOP/ SIL/ ALARP demonstration).

Develop and maintain technological risk assessment and Major Risk Registers of all operating sites

Perform consequence modelling studies using PHAST.

Perform and review safety engineering studies, including:o Flare & Vent Study.br>o Hazardous Area Classification to IP15 and API RP 500/505.

Skills:

  • Risk Assessment tools and database: PHAST, FlareSIM, OREDA, OGP, HCRD, UKOOA, PARLOC
  • Team working
  • Rigor and critical sense, open-minded, keen to knowledge sharing.
  • Leadership and strong listening / communication skills.

Involve offshore visits

Desired Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • Engineering Degree or Masters.
  • Minimum 12 years' experience in performing technical safety studies for oil and gas industries. Familiar with safety and Risk engineering industry standards and guidelines.
  • Conversant with usual business suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access databases).
  • Fluency in English mandatory
