Roles & Responsibilities
Accountabilities
- Manage and control all Airframe Technical Records produced by MROs, line stations, and vendors, ensuring correctness and compliance.
- Oversee FlyDocs performance, including auditing, binder build/top-up (AD, SB, STC, LLP, repairs, modifications), and timely resolution of queries/discrepancies.
- Ensure records are systematically organized and available for internal Quality, Safety, and regulatory authority reviews and audits.
- Track, document, and resolve records queries within KPI thresholds; escalate unresolved or safety-related items through the Technical Safety Report process.
- Support aircraft lease return and sale processes, ensuring records meet lessor requirements, return conditions, and agreed timelines.
- Drive continuous improvement of technical records procedures, standards, and archiving practices in line with regulatory and best industry practices.
- Encourages colleagues and is actively involved in the promotion of a positive reporting culture, by reporting any unsafe acts, unsafe conditions or safety risks
Education & Experience
- Minimum 10 years relevant experience with degree, or 7 years with diploma/license, in aviation maintenance or technical records functions (GCAA experience preferred).
- Demonstrated experience with lease return documentation and subcontractor oversight
- Bachelor s degree in Aeronautical, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering (preferred), or Aircraft Maintenance License/Diploma.
- Strong technical records management and auditing expertise.
- Excellent reporting, analytical, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in digital records systems (e.g., FlyDocs, AMOS).
- High computer literacy and fluency in English.
Desired Candidate Profile
The Technical Records Engineer Airframe is responsible for leading and managing the complete lifecycle of Airframe Technical Records for Etihad Airways. This includes ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with GCAA CAR M.305, IOSA requirements, and company procedures. The role oversees subcontracted services (FlyDocs), manages audits and queries, and ensures readiness for lease returns. It directly contributes to maintaining fleet airworthiness by safeguarding the integrity of airframe technical documentation.
