Roles & Responsibilities

Position Objectives:

  • Lead and manage large-scale telecom projects focused on IP/MPLS technologies.
  • Ensure seamless design, rollout, and integration of MPLS-based VPNs and IP core networks.
  • Coordinate vendor efforts, oversee network testing, and ensure service delivery aligns with KPIs and SLAs.
  • Provide deep technical expertise in IP routing, MPLS VPNs, QoS, and advanced Ethernet technologies.
  • Support network transformation initiatives for Tier-1 telecom operators.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end implementation and rollout of IP/MPLS infrastructure in line with defined project milestones.
  • Develop comprehensive project documentation including charters, implementation plans, KPIs, SLAs, and communication frameworks.
  • Design and deploy large-scale, multi-vendor IP/MPLS networks, including MPLS VPNs (RFC 2547bis), QoS, and broadband infrastructure.
  • Provide expertise in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS) and Ethernet technologies (VPLS, 802.1Q/s/w, STP, MSTP, LAG, Multicast).
  • Apply in-depth knowledge of MPLS technologies, including TE, FRR, LDP, RSVP-TE, MP-BGP, and OSPF-TE.
  • Demonstrate solid understanding of QoS framework, including DiffServ, IntServ, RSVP, and traffic classification.
  • Proactively identify risks and bottlenecks; implement mitigation plans to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and take corrective actions to ensure adherence to project timelines and quality standards.
  • Prepare and manage RFIs, RFPs, and tender documents by technical and procurement standards.
  • Oversee and validate field and lab testing of IP/MPLS equipment, network integration, service delivery, and performance.
  • Provide technical leadership and recommendations based on trial results and network assessments.
  • Contribute to the design and configuration of large-scale service provider networks aligned with industry standards.
  • Architect broadband network solutions based on Ethernet/IP technologies for scalable, carrier-grade deployments.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in IP/MPLS technologies, including 5+ years in a Project Management role with Tier-1 telecom operators.
  • Valid PMP or PgMP certification is mandatory.
  • Demonstrated expertise in designing and deploying large-scale, multi-vendor IP/MPLS networks with MPLS VPNs (RFC 2547bis), QoS, and broadband infrastructure.
  • Proficient in routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS) and advanced MPLS technologies (TE, FRR, RSVP-TE), with strong knowledge of Ethernet/QoS architectures.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS platforms for routing, switching, and security configurations.
  • Familiarity with BRAS and MSAN access architectures for broadband and narrowband services.
  • Knowledge of transport technologies such as POS, GigE, EoSDH, DWDM, and legacy protocols (ATM/FR, ISDN, X.25).
