Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and review of PLC and automation systems for oil & gas facilities.
  • Supervise the development of control system architectures, including PLC, SCADA, and DCS integrations.
  • Ensure compliance with Fire & Gas (F&G), safety, and project-specific standards.
  • Manage a team of automation engineers and coordinate technical office deliverables.
  • Review and approve engineering documents, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Liaise with project managers, site engineers, and clients to ensure project alignment.
  • Support FAT, SAT, and commissioning processes.
  • Evaluate and select control hardware and software platforms based on project requirements.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentoring for junior engineers.
  • Ensure proper documentation, revision control, and timely delivery of project milestones.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 8+ years of experience in PLC and automation systems, preferably in oil & gas projects.
  • Proven expertise in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Schneider, Allen-Bradley).
  • Strong knowledge of SCADA/DCS systems and industrial communication protocols.
  • Experience with F&G systems and process safety standards (e.g., IEC 61508/61511).
  • Hands-on experience in project engineering, technical review, and commissioning.
