Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

Technical Oversight & Coordination

  • Lead and manage all technical activities across civil, structural, architectural, and MEP disciplines.
  • Review and approve design drawings, specifications, and shop drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors to resolve design and construction-related issues.
  • Evaluate design changes and provide technical recommendations or value-engineering solutions.

2. Design Management

  • Manage the design review process to ensure constructability, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure all drawings and documents are up to date and properly controlled.
  • Oversee coordination between design consultants and construction teams to eliminate conflicts and ensure smooth implementation.

3. Quality & Compliance

  • Implement and monitor project quality standards and technical specifications.
  • Support QA/QC teams in conducting inspections and audits.
  • Ensure that construction activities adhere to statutory regulations, codes, and safety requirements.

4. Project Planning & Support

  • Provide technical input during tendering, estimation, and project planning stages.
  • Review and approve construction methodologies, material submittals, and work procedures.
  • Support project scheduling, ensuring that technical deliverables are aligned with project milestones.

5. Stakeholder & Team Management

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, authorities, and internal departments for technical approvals and coordination.
  • Supervise and mentor engineers, draftsmen, and coordinators within the technical team.
  • Conduct technical meetings and workshops to ensure alignment among all stakeholders.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of civil, structural, and architectural systems.
  • Familiarity with construction codes, standards, and local authority regulations.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, Primavera, and other relevant engineering software.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving and decision-making ability.
  • Ability to manage multiple technical interfaces under tight deadlines.

Desired Candidate Profile

Education: Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering (Master s in Structural or Construction Management preferred).

  • Experience: 10 18 years of experience in civil construction, including at least 5 years in a technical or engineering management capacity.
  • Industry Exposure: High-rise buildings, commercial complexes, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
  • Certifications (Preferred): PMP, Chartered Engineer, or equivalent.
