Technical Engineer –Electrical GINCO Cont. Co. LLC

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Technical Engineer – Electrical to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in electrical systems and have a proven track record of working with UAE-based contracting firms for a minimum of 8 years. This role is essential for managing all technical aspects of electrical systems in large-scale construction projects. The successful candidate will ensure effective design coordination, compliance with project specifications and authority regulations, and smooth site execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Review and Interpretation Review and interpret electrical design drawings, specifications, and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) for power distribution, lighting, ELV systems, fire alarm, and other electrical services.
• Design Coordination Coordinate with consultants, architects, mechanical, and structural teams to ensure compatibility of electrical design and resolve any technical discrepancies.
• Drawing Preparation Prepare and review shop drawings, coordination drawings, and as-built drawings in accordance with project requirements and relevant authority standards.
• Compliance and Standards Ensure strict compliance with project specifications, local authority regulations (e.g., DEWA, ADDC, DCD, ADM, DM), and international standards (e.g., IEC, IEEE, NFPA, BS standards).
• On-site Support Provide technical support to site teams during installation, testing, and commissioning stages of electrical systems.
• Manage all technical documentation, including material submittals, method statements, inspection requests, and RFIs.
• Coordinate with the procurement department to ensure timely delivery of approved materials and equipment as per project specifications.
• Attend and contribute to site coordination meetings, technical workshops, and client/consultant meetings.
• Assist in obtaining necessary approvals from relevant authorities by ensuring all documentation is in line with their standards and requirements.
• Provide technical support for value engineering and cost optimization while maintaining compliance and performance standards.
