Team Leader Hybrid Powertrain Engineer

Job Summary: The Team Leader Hybrid Powertrain Engineer will lead a team of engineers in the development and integration of hybrid powertrain systems for UAVs. This role is crucial in ensuring that our powertrain systems meet performance, efficiency, and reliability standards. The successful candidate will work closely with other engineering teams, as well as manufacturing and testing departments, to drive the development of advanced hybrid powertrain technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership & Management:
    • Lead and mentor a team of hybrid powertrain engineers, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project execution.
    • Develop and implement powertrain development strategies, plans, and processes in alignment with company objectives.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for all hybrid powertrain-related matters.
  • Powertrain Development:
    • Oversee the design, development, and integration of hybrid powertrain systems for UAV products, ensuring they meet performance, efficiency, and reliability requirements.
    • Utilize advanced simulation and modeling tools to develop and validate powertrain designs.
    • Ensure thorough documentation of development processes, calculations, and results.
  • Project Management:
    • Manage multiple powertrain development projects simultaneously, ensuring that timelines and budgets are adhered to.
    • Monitor project progress and performance, making adjustments as needed to ensure successful project completion.
    • Provide regular updates and reports to the Head of Engineering on project status and milestones.
  • Quality & Compliance:
    • Ensure that all hybrid powertrain development activities comply with relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.
    • Collaborate with the quality assurance team to implement and maintain robust quality control processes.
    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance powertrain quality and development efficiency.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with other engineering teams, as well as manufacturing and testing departments, to ensure powertrain designs meet development and production requirements.
    • Provide input during the design phase to identify potential powertrain challenges and solutions.
    • Facilitate communication and collaboration between different departments to ensure seamless development processes.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities for process improvement in hybrid powertrain development activities.
    • Implement best practices and innovative solutions to enhance development efficiency and effectiveness.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the powertrain team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (Master s degree preferred).
  • At least 8 years of experience in powertrain engineering, with a focus on hybrid or electric powertrain systems.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading powertrain development projects from concept to completion.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in simulation and modeling tools.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry standards for hybrid powertrain systems.
