Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Craft tailored garments by interpreting customer measurements and preferences, ensuring a perfect fit that enhances the client's silhouette.
- Skillfully alter existing garments, employing techniques like hemming, resizing, and mending to restore or enhance the piece's integrity.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients, understanding their needs, and offering suggestions.
- Create detailed patterns or templates for bespoke garments to ensure accuracy and precision in the tailoring process.
- Ensure timely completion of all tailoring projects, managing deadlines without compromising on quality.
- Perform quality checks on finished garments, verifying that they meet the desired specifications and standards.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant tailoring experience in a retail or bespoke environment, showcasing a strong portfolio.
- Proficient in sewing techniques, fabric types, and garment construction, with a keen eye for detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and understand their unique fashion needs.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing positively to a team-oriented environment.
- Physical stamina is necessary for standing and working with fabric and machinery for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of patternmaking and alterations, with a willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
