Systems Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Define and manage avionics software requirements aligned with UAV operational and safety objectives
• Design robust, real-time software architectures for avionics systems (flight control, comms, navigation, etc.)
• Develop embedded avionics software using C/C++ or similar languages
• Integrate and test software using simulations and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) platforms
• Lead software verification and validation activities across unit, integration, and system levels
• Ensure compliance with DO-178C/ED-12C and prepare certification documentation
• Collaborate across systems, hardware, test, cybersecurity, and quality assurance teams
• Participate in design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) and contribute software technical leadership
• Mentor junior engineers and support process improvements and knowledge sharing

Technical Tools

• Languages: C, C++, and embedded software development frameworks
• RTOS platforms and avionics middleware
• Configuration & lifecycle tools: Git, Jenkins, JIRA, DOORS
• Simulation & testing: HIL systems, automated test scripts, integration test benches
• Protocols: ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, CAN, Ethernet
