Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Review tender documents, drawings, specifications, and scope of work related to firefighting systems
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs, and material take-offs for:
    Fire sprinkler systems
    Fire hose reel & hydrant systems
    FM-200 / NOVEC / CO₂ / Clean agent systems
    Fire pumps & pump rooms
  • Coordinate with design, sales, and procurement teams to obtain technical and commercial inputs
  • Identify cost-effective solutions while ensuring compliance with NFPA, UL, FM, UAE Civil Defense requirements
  • Prepare technical submittals, pre-bid clarifications, and tender queries
  • Evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotations
  • Support post-tender clarifications and value engineering activities
  • Maintain estimation databases, cost norms, and pricing history
  • Assist project teams during handover with cost breakdowns and assumptions

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 3–7 years of experience in estimation of firefighting / fire protection systems
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA codes, local Civil Defense regulations, and international standards
  • Experience in GCC projects preferred
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and estimation tools/software
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
