Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

The system administrator ensures smooth operation of StruMIS for custom steel fabrication.
They handle maintenance, user support, and coordination with the support team.
Strong knowledge of .NET, SQL Server, and steel fabrication workflows is essential.

Technical Skills

  • Windows Server Management: User accounts, security settings, and performance monitoring.
  • SQL Server Administration: Backups, tuning, query optimization, and permissions.
  • Networking Basics: TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
  • .NET & Programming Fundamentals: Basic understanding for system architecture and issue diagnosis.
  • StruMIS Expertise: Modules, workflows, user access, and application troubleshooting.
  • Virtualization: Familiarity with VMware or Hyper-V environments.

Responsibilities

  • System Maintenance: Performing routine system maintenance tasks, such as backups, updates, and security patching.
  • User Support: Providing technical support to users, troubleshooting issues, and resolving problems.
  • User Account Management:Creating, managing, and maintaining user accounts and permissions.
  • System Monitoring: Monitoring system performance and identifying potential issues.
  • Data Management: Managing and maintaining the StruMIS database.
  • Liaison with Support Team: Acting as the primary point of contact between users and the StruMIS support team.
  • Documentation: Creating and maintaining system documentation.
  • Training: Training users on how to use the StruMIS system.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Education: A bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is often preferred, but relevant experience can sometimes substitute for formal education.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Microsoft Certified: Database Administrator Associate, or certifications related to SQL Server, can demonstrate expertise and enhance credibility.
  • Soft Skills Experience : Good communication - Problem-Solving - Team Collaboration
  • Experience: 3 to 10 years - Steel Fabrication Knowledge (Preferred)
  • Training & Documentation: Creating guides and training users on StruMIS.
