Responsibilities

• Conduct precise land and property surveys to establish legal property boundaries.
• Utilize GPS and GIS technology to create accurate and detailed survey maps.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects in the planning of construction projects.
• Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
• Research historical records and maps to analyze survey data and land history.
• Prepare detailed reports and maps that describe and certify survey results.
• Set up and adjust surveying instruments and equipment at surveying sites as required.
• Adhere to safety standards while conducting surveys in various environments and terrains.
• Monitor and maintain survey equipment, ensuring it is functional and accurate.
• Provide guidance and support to junior surveyors and technicians in the field.
• Record and manage data using computer-aided design (CAD) software for digital representation.
• Stay updated on new surveying technologies and methodologies to enhance survey accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Certification or licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in using surveying equipment such as total stations and theodolites.
• Experience with GPS, GIS technology, and computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Strong analytical and math skills for data interpretation and problem-solving.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in conducting fieldwork and reporting.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments.
