Roles & Responsibilities
Are you passionate about maps and measurements with an eye for precision? Join our team as a Surveyor where you will play a crucial role in determining precise locations and elevations for designing roads, buildings, and infrastructure. Engaging with state-of-the-art technology, you will conduct boundary surveys, create detailed plans, and work closely with project teams to support various engineering and construction projects. As a Surveyor, your analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to interpret and apply diverse types of data will be essential for delivering high-quality results. Whether conducting fieldwork with survey instruments or drafting results using computer-aided design software, your role will be integral to ensuring projects adhere to legal standards and clients receive accurate and useful reports. Responsibilities
- Conduct precise land and property surveys to establish legal property boundaries.
- Utilize GPS and GIS technology to create accurate and detailed survey maps.
- Collaborate with engineers and architects in the planning of construction projects.
- Verify the accuracy of survey data, including measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
- Research historical records and maps to analyze survey data and land history.
- Prepare detailed reports and maps that describe and certify survey results.
- Set up and adjust surveying instruments and equipment at surveying sites as required.
- Adhere to safety standards while conducting surveys in various environments and terrains.
- Monitor and maintain survey equipment, ensuring it is functional and accurate.
- Provide guidance and support to junior surveyors and technicians in the field.
- Record and manage data using computer-aided design (CAD) software for digital representation.
- Stay updated on new surveying technologies and methodologies to enhance survey accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Certification or licensure as a Professional Land Surveyor is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in using surveying equipment such as total stations and theodolites.
- Experience with GPS, GIS technology, and computer-aided design (CAD) software.
- Strong analytical and math skills for data interpretation and problem-solving.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in conducting fieldwork and reporting.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various environments.
