Roles & Responsibilities

Job Description:

Responsible for the following categories across the 3 factories of MEA (OCT, KEC, NAI): Sugar, sweeteners, fats & oils, cereals, fruits & nuts, and specialities such as, vanilla, salt, lecithin, PGPR etc. in addition to Peanut, Coconut and other materials required for the Filled Bar Lines.

Responsible for qualifying new local suppliers for the Peanut category, which will become strategic source for MW.

Deploy MEA Supplier Quality Assurance strategy in the following sites: OCT, KEC & NAI with respect to Raw Materials.

Incorporate Q&FS insights into the supply strategy.

Perform Q&FS Risk Assessment of suppliers to assess and decide on suitability to supply materials to Mars manufacturing sites.

Complete Mars Materials Risk Assessment (MRA) for Raws on Supplier control Measures in alignment with R&D

Lead the MQM compliance across MEA and ensure 100% compliance status is maintained at every quarterly metrics reporting.

Develop and utilise MQM Scorecard and Dashboard for visual management of metrics.

Play an instrumental role on MRAs, Specification, and COAs alignment for local and international raw material suppliers.

Undertake the SQA qualification process with local raw materials and to identify strengths and gaps required to be addressed:

i. Perform the SQA site audit.

ii. Review of analytical data compliance.

iii. Perform and review of process capability analysis.

iv. Verify that supplier hazard controls are operating effectively.

v. Support the supplier to address gaps in Q&FS capability identified in audits.

vi. Partner with the buyer in ensuring the material specifications are reviewed, understood, and agreed by the supplier.

vii. Work with the supplier to investigate & resolve material non-conformances to prevent reoccurrence.

viii. Undertake Supplier Development activities to build technical & operational capability to meet the future requirements of the supply strategy.

ix. To be aware of and assess changes to a suppliers capability to meet the Mars Specification.

x. Ensure that all suppliers are assigned a status with defined supply and verification requirements.

xi. Support both suppliers and Mars DS1 teams to ensure smooth and proper validation of raw materials.

Ensure compliance of the foreign raw material suppliers to the SQA process including late audits performance and approval status.

Ensure proper reporting of suppliers audits, corrective action plans, approval status and periodic technical performance as per SQA process requirements.

Represent SQA team in the periodic Site Quality Management meetings with the factory management team.

Responsible for SQA compliance with Lloyd s audits on MQM

Represent MEA SQA in the GEM MQM CoP

Support sites in terms of incidents management (KEC, OCT & NAI)

Lead the resilience projects in his categories, aiming for instilling supply security by ensuring dual source for every material, and simplification by reducing the bespoke materials.

Issue periodic SQA compliance report and approval status for locally used primes suppliers as per SQA process guidelines including late audits performance.

Maintain updated documents for all suppliers including suppliers audits, CAPA, suppliers approvals and performance.

Ensure full control of SQA related documents as required by MQM program for Lloyd s audit.

Ensure having the recent updates of the material specifications and material risk assessment documents to be shared with the suppliers taking SQA process and the Mars confidentiality guidelines into account.

Engage with the global SQA category leads to deliver the category MSSM (Mars Strategic Sourcing Strategy).
