Substation Design Manager-Primary Adler Talent Solutions Pvt. Ltd.

PRE-BID DESIGN:

· Analyze tender documents, client technical specifications, and project requirements

· Prepare conceptual primary layout drawings, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and equipment arrangement plans based on tender scope

· Develop preliminary BOQ (Bill of Quantities), equipment sizing, and quantity take-offs for major items (CTs, PTs, breakers, disconnectors, etc.)

· Propose optimized layout solutions considering cost, space, reliability, and constructability

· Collaborate with proposal and estimation teams to finalize cost-effective design solutions

· Provide technical inputs for bid documents, method statements, and compliance matrices

· Interface with OEMs/vendors for technical data, specifications, and pricing inputs

· Identify technical risks, deviations, and value-engineering opportunities

· Support clarification responses, client presentations, and technical bid evaluations

EXECUTION OF CONTRACT:

· Prepare primary design drawings including:

· General Arrangement (GA) / Layouts

· Equipment layout plans

· Sectional views

· Cable routing diagrams

· Earthing layouts and details

· Busbar calculations and drawings

· HV equipment connection and interconnection details

· Conduct equipment sizing and selection (circuit breakers, isolators, CTs, PTs, surge arresters, etc.)

· Perform clearance studies (electrical & mechanical) as per IS/IEC/IEEE standards

· Develop and review substation grounding (earthing) design

· Support the preparation of bill of quantities (BOQ) and material specifications

· Ensure designs are compliant with relevant standards (IEC, IEEE, IS, CBIP, etc.)

· Coordinate with secondary design, civil, and protection teams for interface clarity

· Support proposal and estimation teams during bidding stages with design input

· Participate in design reviews, client meetings, and technical discussions
