Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Student Development & Support: Identify and support students abilities, inclinations, and behaviors, providing guidance and developing personalized treatment plans to help them succeed.
  • Parent & Teacher Collaboration: Hold individual meetings with parents to address concerns, organize training courses for students and their families, and collaborate with teachers on academic performance and behavioral issues.
  • Academic Monitoring & Guidance: Track student progress through evaluations, identify lagging students, and collaborate with the Guidance Committee to provide appropriate support and interventions.
  • Career & Health Guidance: Offer career guidance, facilitate participation in school career days, and increase awareness about healthy practices. Refer students to appropriate professionals when necessary.
  • Coordination & Supervision: Supervise student entry into classes, cooperate with teachers and staff, ensure students well-being, and attend team meetings to discuss student support and improvements.
  • Student and Parent Communication: Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student progress, behavior, and attendance, and follow up on any concerns.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • A Bachelor s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Education, or a related field.
  • At least 3+ years of experience in student counseling, pastoral care, or mental health support within a school setting.
  • Proven experience in providing individual and group counseling, developing intervention strategies, and supporting students' emotional and academic well-being.
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with teachers, parents, and school leadership in addressing student needs.
  • Exceptional communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills to build trust and rapport with students, parents, and staff.
  • In-depth knowledge of child development, safeguarding policies, and mental health frameworks to support student well-being.
