Roles & Responsibilities

Role Overview

The Structural Engineer – Facades will be responsible for performing advanced structural analysis, validating designs, and ensuring façade systems comply with project specifications, codes, and safety standards. The role will contribute to value engineering, standardization, and supporting first-time design approvals while collaborating with design and cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed structural analysis of façade systems to ensure stability, strength, and adherence to applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
  • Prepare and validate structural calculations, drawings, and technical reports for consultant/client submissions.
  • Provide structural guidance to design and related departments, prioritizing first-time approval of designs.
  • Assist in the deployment and optimization of new structural systems, processes, and technologies.
  • Contribute to standardization initiatives and implement value-engineering solutions to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Conduct wind load, seismic, live load, and dead load analysis for façade systems.
  • Support site and production teams by addressing structural concerns during manufacturing and installation.
  • Liaise with consultants, testing agencies, and third parties for design verification and approvals.
  • Stay updated with latest façade engineering practices, materials, and international standards.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • BTech / MTech / MS in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in essential façade engineering domains (design, analysis, and validation).
  • Strong knowledge of aluminum, glass, ACP, and steel-based façade systems.
  • Familiarity with Eurocodes, Dubai Municipality (DM) regulations, American and British Standards.
