Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

We are a leading steel fabrication contracting company based in the UAE, currently seeking a Structural Steel Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing precise and efficient structural designs, coordinating with local authorities, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop accurate structural and detailed steel designs based on project specifications and applicable standards.
  • Prepare and submit authority drawings; coordinate with Dubai Municipality and other relevant bodies for timely design approvals.
  • Review and validate structural steel designs and shop drawings prepared by draftsmen and subcontractors.
  • Address technical queries and collaborate with clients, consultants, and internal teams to finalize structural solutions.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering is required, a Master's degree is preferred, demonstrating a strong foundation in structural principles.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility is highly desirable, showcasing commitment to professional standards and ethical practice.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in structural design, specifically related to solar mounting structures or related fields, indicating relevant expertise.
  • Strong understanding of local UAE codes and international structural standards.
  • Certified by Dubai Municipality to practice structural design engineering.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis software and CAD software (AutoCAD, Revit), highlighting technical skills.
  • Solid understanding of building codes (ASCE 7, IBC, etc.) and their application to solar projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing for effective collaboration with diverse teams and clear communication of technical information.
