• Collaborate with architects and builders to achieve efficient structural designs.
• Analyze configurations of the basic structural components of a building or other structures.
• Calculate the pressures, stresses, and strains that will be experienced by structural components.
• Use computer-aided design (CAD) software for simulation and design purposes.
• Develop accurate, detailed design drawings and specifications for construction projects.
• Review and approve project designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and codes.
• Oversee construction activities to ensure structural integrity and safety of projects.
• Prepare progress reports, draft budgets, and assist in project scheduling efforts.
• Liaise with construction managers and contractors on-site regarding project aspects.
• Conduct inspections and evaluation of ongoing design projects for potential improvements.
• Research and present new construction materials and technologies to improve designs.
• Ensure all designs adhere to regulatory and environmental standards effectively.

• Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
• Minimum of three years of experience in structural engineering preferred.
• Proficiency in CAD software and other related engineering design tools.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and technology applications.
• Familiarity with structural analysis and finite element analysis software tools.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for effective collaboration.
