Roles & Responsibilities

This job focuses on understanding client needs, recommending appropriate engineering products, and ensuring the technical feasibility of design concepts. The role also integrates CRM (Customer Relationship Management) tools to enhance client interactions and streamline sales processes. Responsibilities may include:

  • Client Interaction: Meet with clients, architects, designers, and contractors to understand their requirements and propose tailored solutions, using CRM to track communications and follow-ups.
  • Product Knowledge: Understand various engineering products and systems (e.g., lighting, HVAC, structural elements) and how they integrate into interior design.
  • Sales Strategy: Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets, including presentations, product demonstrations, and negotiations, while utilizing CRM to manage customer data and sales leads.
  • Project Management Support: Collaborate with the design team to ensure the technical feasibility of design ideas, ensuring that products meet client specifications and comply with relevant standards.
  • Market Research: Keep up to date with trends in interior design and engineering, helping to identify opportunities for new products or services.

The role blends sales acumen with a deep understanding of the technical aspects of interior design, requiring a mix of communication skills, engineering knowledge, customer service, and proficiency in CRM tools to manage client relationships and sales workflows.

Job Requirements:

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.
  • Additional certifications in Sales, Marketing, or Business Development are a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in a sales role, preferably within the interior design, architecture, or construction industries.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing client relationships and closing sales.

Technical Knowledge:

  • Strong understanding of engineering concepts, building materials, and interior design principles.
  • Familiarity with design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) is beneficial.
  • Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and sustainability practices is an advantage.

Sales Skills:

  • Expertise in generating leads, building a client pipeline, and converting prospects into clients.
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills.
  • Ability to understand client needs and offer customized solutions.
  • Experience in creating compelling sales presentations and proposals.

Communication & Interpersonal Skills:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with clients, architects, contractors, and design teams.
  • Ability to articulate technical details to non-technical clients.
  • Customer-oriented with a focus on delivering exceptional service.

Project Management:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, from initial sales discussions through to the final stages of the project.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Relationship Building:

  • Ability to foster and maintain long-term relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
  • Skilled at networking within the industry to develop new business opportunities.

Problem-Solving:

  • Ability to offer creative solutions to meet client requirements.

Tech-Savvy:
