Stores Associate The First Group

The Stores Associate is responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing goods efficiently and accurately in accordance with hotel policies and procedures. This role ensures that inventory is maintained properly and that requisitions are fulfilled promptly to support smooth hotel operations.

• Receive, inspect, and verify all incoming goods against delivery notes and purchase orders.

• Ensure all deliveries are properly documented and discrepancies are reported to the Storekeeper or Purchasing department.

• Organize and maintain stock in designated storage areas in a clean, safe, and accessible manner.

• Issue materials to departments based on approved requisitions, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.

• Maintain accurate records of stock movement using the hotel s inventory system.

• Conduct regular inventory checks and assist in monthly stocktaking and reconciliation.

• Monitor stock levels and inform supervisors of low stock or overstock situations.

• Follow proper storage guidelines, including temperature control for perishable goods.

• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and security standards within the store areas.

• Assist with unloading and proper handling of deliveries to minimize damages and losses.

• Support the purchasing team with any ad hoc tasks related to inventory and supply chain operations.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Prior experience in a similar role in hospitality or retail is preferred.

• Basic knowledge of inventory procedures and storekeeping.

• Familiarity with hotel procurement systems (e.g., FMC, Materials Control, or similar) is a plus.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

• Physically fit to handle lifting and movement of stock.
