Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Receive, inspect and record incoming spare parts, consumables and maintenance items (bearings, seals, filters, motors, belts, etc) for production and maintenance departments.
- Verify that received items match purchase orders, delivery documents and quality/specification standards.
- Store and organise spare parts in the warehouse/store-room: label, bin, rack, ensure accessibility and proper storage conditions (e.g., clean, dry, correct shelving).
- Maintain accurate inventory records—issue parts based on approved requisitions, process returns, log transactions into ERP / inventory management system.
- Monitor stock levels (minimum/maximum, reorder points), flag slow-moving, obsolete or excess inventory, and liaise with procurement/maintenance to replenish stock.
- Conduct regular stock counts/physical inventories; reconcile variances and report missing or damaged items.
- Coordinate with maintenance, production and procurement departments to ensure spare parts availability for planned maintenance, breakdowns and production shifts.
- Ensure all parts issued/received are properly documented (requisition forms, issue slip, GRN, returns).
- Provide periodic reports (stock movement, fast moving/slow moving parts, parts usage) to store manager or maintenance/plant management.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Minimum High School diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience (2-4 years or more) in stores/spare parts inventory, preferably in manufacturing, heavy equipment, or maintenance environment in UAE or Gulf region.
- Good knowledge of spare parts identification, stock control practices, and warehouse operations in an industrial setting.
- Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple requests and maintain accuracy and attention to detail.
- Understanding of basic warehouse safety, housekeeping and materials handling regulations.
- Exposure to preventive maintenance/spares management for production lines (understanding critical spares, lead-times, downtime impact).
- Familiarity with ERP modules specific to stores/spares (e.g., SAP, Oracle, IFS).
