Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory by tracking stock levels, conducting regular audits, and ensuring timely replenishment to avoid shortages.
  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments, verifying the quality and quantity of goods against purchase orders to maintain accuracy.
  • Organize and maintain the storage area, ensuring that items are easily accessible and properly labeled for efficient retrieval.
  • Prepare and process orders for outgoing shipments, coordinating with various departments to meet delivery schedules.
  • Utilize inventory management software to update stock records in real time, ensuring data accuracy and availability for reporting.
  • Collaborate with procurement teams to forecast inventory needs based on sales trends and seasonal demand fluctuations.
  • Implement safety and cleanliness protocols in the storage area to comply with health regulations and prevent workplace hazards.
  • Assist in training new staff members on inventory management systems and best practices for stock handling.
  • Generate regular reports on inventory status, including slow-moving items and potential stock discrepancies for management review.
  • Maintain positive relationships with suppliers and vendors to facilitate effective communication and problem resolution regarding inventory issues.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a storekeeping or warehouse role, demonstrating a solid understanding of inventory management.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Proficient in using inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for tracking and reporting.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with a knack for systematizing processes and optimizing storage solutions.
  • A proactive attitude, demonstrating problem-solving capabilities and a willingness to take initiative in improving processes.
