Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Job Purpose:
The Stock Keeper is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and maintaining accurate records of all furniture and mattress items in the warehouse. He ensures that all goods are properly handled, labeled, and safely stored to support production and sales operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Receive all incoming furniture, mattresses, and materials, and verify quantities and quality against purchase orders or delivery notes.
Arrange and store goods in an orderly and accessible manner within the warehouse.
Maintain accurate inventory records using manual logs or inventory software.
Monitor stock levels and report shortages, damages, or discrepancies to the supervisor.
Prepare items for delivery or transfer to the showroom, ensuring they are properly packed and labeled.
Assist in periodic physical stock counts and reconcile with system records.
Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
Coordinate with the logistics and sales departments for smooth product flow.
Handle the loading and unloading of goods carefully to prevent damage.
Ensure that returned or defective items are recorded and stored in the appropriate area.
Qualifications and Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a stock keeper, preferably in a furniture or manufacturing company.
Basic computer and inventory system knowledge.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in recording information.
Good physical condition and ability to lift heavy items when required.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Team-oriented, organized, and responsible.
