Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead, train, and mentor the stock control team to ensure high performance and adherence to procedures.
- Develop and implement stock control processes that promote inventory accuracy and efficiency.
- Conduct regular audits of stock levels and investigate discrepancies between physical and recorded stock.
- Utilize inventory management systems to track stock levels and generate reports for analysis.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g. purchasing, logistics, sales) to ensure availability of stock and support sales initiatives.
- Manage stock movements, including receiving, storage, and distribution, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Identify trends, make recommendations for stock optimization, and report on stock-related KPIs.
- Coordinate with suppliers for stock replenishment and maintain positive relationships.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to stock management.
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in stock control or inventory management, with at least 1 year in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of stock control principles and best practices.
- Experience with inventory management software and systems.
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
