Roles & Responsibilities

Job Role:

The Stewarding Supervisor ensures the highest standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and safety across the facility while overseeing stewarding operations. This role is responsible for staff supervision, training, waste management, and compliance with ADFCA, HACCP, and company guidelines to maintain an efficient and well-organized back-of-house environment.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Ensure full compliance with ADFCA, HACCP, and company policies at all times.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment throughout the facility.
  • Identify training needs and arrange skill enhancement for stewarding staff.
  • Oversee timely waste clearance from all sections.
  • Monitor staff performance to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Ensure all stewarding equipment is in good working condition.
  • Review, complete, and file all operational checklists.
  • Plan, supervise, and inspect deep cleaning activities.
  • Oversee daily cleaning operations to ensure standards are met.
  • Ensure all exits remain clear and unobstructed.
  • Coordinate with waste disposal suppliers to ensure timely collection.
  • Report daily operational matters to management.
  • Perform additional lawful duties as assigned by management.
  • Maintain confidentiality and represent the company in a professional manner.
  • Adhere to company rules, regulations, and policies.
  • Ensure compliance with local legislation and EH&S codes of practice.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work areas, plant, and equipment to ensure safe operations.

Desired Candidate Profile

Job Requirements:

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree.
  • 2–3 years in a stewarding supervisory role within a hotel or catering facility.
  • Proficient in MS Office and ERP solutions.
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their safe handling.
  • English proficiency (intermediate level, written and spoken).
  • Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
