Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Interpret and analyze blueprints and construction plans to accurately position and assemble steel reinforcements.
  • Cut, bend, and shape steel bars and mesh using hand and power tools, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers and construction teams to provide input on reinforcement requirements and modifications.
  • Assist in the training of junior steel fixers and apprentices, sharing knowledge of best practices in steel fixing techniques.
  • Estimate material quantities and costs, helping to manage project budgets and timelines effectively.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in steel fixing techniques to ensure the use of the most efficient practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Minimum of 4-5 years of hands-on experience in steel fixing or a related construction field.
  • Proficient in using various hand and power tools specific to steel fixing applications.
  • Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions.
