Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Lead the mechanical engineering scope for static equipment including pressure vessels, heat exchangers, storage tanks, separators, filters, and related components.
- Develop and review technical specifications, datasheets, material requisitions, and technical bid evaluations for static equipment packages.
- Ensure all designs are in compliance with project requirements, client specifications, and international codes and standards (e.g., ASME, API, TEMA, ASTM).
- Interface and coordinate with other engineering disciplines such as Process, Piping, Civil/Structural, and Instrumentation.
- Review and approve vendor documents, ensuring alignment with project specifications and schedules.
- Support design reviews including HAZOP, HAZID, 3D Model Reviews, etc.
- Provide technical input and resolution to queries from procurement, vendors, and construction teams.
- Ensure timely delivery of high-quality engineering deliverables as per project schedule and standards.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum 12 years of experience in mechanical engineering, specifically in static equipment within the onshore oil and gas sector.
- Proven experience in FEED and detailed design phases of large-scale oil and gas projects.
- Familiarity with Iraq-based project specifications or working experience with Iraq clients is an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of international design codes and standards (e.g., ASME Section VIII, API 650/660/661, TEMA).
- Proficient in engineering tools and software used for equipment design and evaluation.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills across multidisciplinary teams.
