Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities


  • Lead the architectural design process on-site, ensuring alignment with overall project goals while addressing site-specific challenges.
  • Collaborate with construction teams to translate architectural plans into actionable steps, providing guidance on materials and methods.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, ensuring compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and local regulations.
  • Interface with clients and stakeholders, presenting design concepts and modifications to gather feedback and refine project direction.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinating with other disciplines to manage timelines and deliverables effectively.
  • Review and approve shop drawings and construction documents, ensuring they meet design intent and regulatory requirements.
  • Establish and enforce quality control processes on-site, addressing issues promptly to maintain project integrity.
  • Mentor junior architects and interns, fostering professional development and promoting best practices in architectural design.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies to incorporate innovative solutions into site practices.
  • Prepare and present site-specific reports on architectural progress, effectively communicating challenges and solutions to project stakeholders.

Desired Candidate Profile


  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or a related field, with a Master's degree preferred for advanced understanding.
  • Minimum of 15 years of relevant experience in architectural design and site management, showcasing a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Professional licensure as an architect is essential, demonstrating commitment to industry standards and ethics.
  • Proven experience in commercial and residential projects, with a focus on sustainable and innovative design practices.
  • Strong proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp, facilitating efficient design communication.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of articulating complex design ideas clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Detail-oriented mindset, with the ability to identify potential issues on-site and propose practical solutions quickly.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity, particularly if working in diverse environments or international projects.
  • Physical ability to navigate construction sites safely and effectively, including climbing ladders and walking on uneven terrain.
  • Fluency in English is required, with additional language skills considered a valuable asset for international projects.
