Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
Plans, organizes, schedules and conducts site inspections and audits of all facilities, work areas and equipment and contractor sites.
Regularly monitors site HSE conditions, practices and procedures for compliance with safety requirements.
Initiate and lead the Hazard identification and Risk Assessment team to identify and analyse the workplace hazards, associated risk and set up the mitigation actions. Ensure implementation and monitoring of the company s HSE manuals, procedures, plans and HSE management system.
Provide assistance and advice on HSE issues to cross-function to make recommendations to facility management.
Operate the Incident Management System, KPI monitoring and participate in detailed incident investigations and Root Cause Analysis and follow up on closure action items with verification.
Participate in mock emergency and firefighting drills, in case of medical emergency should be able to analyse the condition and apply CPR/ First Aid/Medical aid quickly.
Conduct HSE Trainings to all relevant parties on HSE aspect including HSE induction and refresher courses.
Conduct quality Permit to Work (PTW) audits, identify the non-compliance and communicate the identified noncompliance to relevant parties in the PTW process.
Propose and action plan for HSE improvement plans with alignment of company goal and HSE compliance.
Bring awareness for HSE aspect by campaigns, event international day celebrations.
Maintain and develop good communication and working knowledge of local regulation, international standards, F & G systems and Safety software.
Prepare necessary daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, six monthly and annual reports.
Perform other related duties as assigned by the concerned authority and the HSE committee of the company and departmental task and targets.
Demonstrate safe work practices and avoid unsafe behaviours, shall be available for emergency response calls; maintain physical fitness.
Shall be exposed and able to practice the International standards, best industrial practices and Local regulatory mandatory requirements.
Integrated Management System (IMS) Additional Tasks
Perform additional duties as assigned by the HSE committee or department leadership in alignment with departmental targets and objectives.
Be aware of and implement the QHSE Policy and Objectives/KPI that are established for the department
Follow all the relevant requirements of the IMS and maintain/retain documented information to provide evidence of conformity with requirements.
Comply with all the Compliance obligations including legal requirements and other requirements like regulations, organizational and industry standards, codes of practice and retain evidence of conformity.
Understand the HSE Emergency situations, associated response plans relevant to their field of work, and implement such plans when required.
Understand the function of First Aid Clinic function and provide assistance for the same.
Manage the occupational health and occupational hygiene aspects (monitoring, reporting and analysis).
Promote and assist all stakeholders in implementing the Integrated Management System (ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001) IMS requirements of the organization.
Aware of process risks, hazards, risks, aspects, environmental impacts associated with their activity and its necessary controls.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local regulations, international standards (e.g., ISO, OSHA), and safety technologies (e.g., F&G systems, safety software).
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual HSE performance reports.
Maintain accurate and updated records for inspections, incidents, audits, training, and compliance.
Desired Candidate Profile
Minimum Qualifications for this position is an Engineering or equivalent in Environment, Chemistry, Occupational Health and Safety.
Excellent knowledge of written, read, and spoken English (required) Arabic - Native (desirable)
Bachelor Diploma
