Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for construction projects, encompassing all aspects from initial design to final completion, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and incorporate contingency planning into estimates, proactively mitigating potential cost overruns and project delays.
- Analyze tender documents, drawings, and specifications to identify project requirements and develop comprehensive bills of quantities.
- Manage and negotiate with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and ensure the best value for the project.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Possesses a Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field, demonstrating a strong academic foundation.
- Holds professional certifications such as MRICS or equivalent, showcasing commitment to industry standards and ethical practice.
- Demonstrates a minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in quantity surveying and estimating, with a proven track record of success.
- Exhibits in-depth knowledge of construction methodologies, materials, and market pricing, enabling precise and informed estimations.
