Sports Coordinator - Emirati National ARMED FORCES OFFICER CLUB HOTEL

Job Purpose

To coordinate and manage the sporting aspects of the Marathon, ensuring smooth planning, organization, and delivery of the event in line with international standards and community engagement objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Support in the planning and execution of the marathon, including route preparation, race logistics, and timing systems.
• Coordinate with government authorities (traffic, police, health & safety) to ensure all approvals and protocols are in place.
• Manage athlete registration, bib distribution, and participant services.
• Supervise sports volunteers, marshals, and support staff during the event.
• Ensure compliance with international sports and athletics regulations.
• Work closely with sponsors, vendors, and technical partners for sporting requirements.
• Assist in marketing, community outreach, and initiatives to promote health and wellness participation.
• Monitor budgets related to sports operations and ensure efficient use of resources.
• Collect post-event feedback and prepare reports for continuous improvement.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, Events Management, or related field.
• 1–4 years’ experience in sports coordination, events, or athletics management (preferably marathons or large-scale sporting events).
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Knowledge of event safety, logistics, and athlete support services.
• Excellent communication skills in Arabic
• Ability to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office and event management software/tools.
