Job Description
- Perform and interpret diagnostic imaging studies including X-rays, CT scans, MRI scans, and ultrasound to diagnose medical conditions accurately.
- Plan and perform a variety of minimally invasive interventional procedures such as angiography, embolization, biopsies, drainages, and stent placements.
- Expertise in vascular as well as non-vascular procedures including percutaneous liver, renal and lung tumour ablation, biopsy, PTBD and stenting 4. Collaborate closely with referring physicians to develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Ensure the safety and comfort of patients throughout all procedures, providing clear explanations and answering any questions or concerns.
- Monitor patients for any adverse reactions or complications during and after procedures, taking prompt action as needed.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss complex cases and contribute expertise to patient management.
- Stay abreast of the latest advancements in interventional radiology techniques, equipment, and research, integrating new knowledge into clinical practice.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to residents, fellows, and other healthcare professionals as needed.
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records, documentation, and billing information in compliance with regulatory standards and institutional policies.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing patient outcomes, safety, and satisfaction.
Desired Candidate Profile
Qualifications
*Qualifications for Internal Candidates
- Medical degree from an accredited institution and completion of residency training in diagnostic radiology.
- Board certification or eligibility in diagnostic radiology and interventional radiology.
- Fellowship/DM/CCT training in Interventional Radiology from an accredited program with minimum 3 years Residency Training.
- Current state medical license and eligibility for medical staff privileges at affiliated hospitals or healthcare facilities.
- Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting diagnostic imaging studies and performing interventional procedures with precision and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and communicate complex medical information to patients and their families.
