Specialist - Frontend QA & Automation Engineer Almosafer

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to clarify requirements, identify potential risks early, and ensure testability of features.
• Design, implement, and execute functional tests, while also validating interactions with other frontend systems and API integrations.
• Leverage AI tools to generate test cases, analyse UI/API failures, and streamline bug reporting workflows.
• Use prompt engineering techniques with AI tools to enhance exploratory testing, increase test coverage, and generate test data.
• Build & maintain robust automated tests using modern automation tools like Cypress.
• Actively participate in sprint planning, code reviews, and technical discussions, offering input that strengthens product quality.
• Clearly communicate testing progress, risks, and status to relevant stakeholders.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and standards within the team.

Profile Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in software testing, ideally with a web and API testing background.
• Ability to understand complex business domains and identify business and test use cases.
• Experience working in Agile environments with different cross-functional teams.
• Skilled in JavaScript-based automation, using tools such as Cypress and Playwright.
• Familiarity with API testing tools (e.g., Postman) and backend validation techniques.
• Exposure to AI-assisted testing tools (e.g., Cursor AI, GitHub Copilot) and understanding of their role in modern QA workflows is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and approach challenges methodically.
• Proactive communicator who actively engages in team discussions, shares ideas, and collaborates effectively with distributed teams.
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
