Job Description

The role of the Specialist Accounting & Financial Reporting is pivotal to the financial integrity and compliance of an organization. In this position, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all related aspects of financial and accounting activities, ensuring that the company adheres to financial policies, regulations, and standards. The successful candidate will deliver accurate and timely financial reports, work collaboratively with other departments, and provide strategic insights to senior management regarding financial performance. This role requires a high level of expertise in accounting practices, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements. A thorough understanding of financial systems and procedures is also essential to drive improvements and efficiency in financial operations.


Responsibilities
  • Prepare and review accurate financial statements and reports on a timely basis.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, and local financial regulations and standards.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the annual audit process with external auditors.
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing key financial insights.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas of concern.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Manage general ledger functions and supervise accounting staff activities.
  • Monitor internal controls and recommend improvements for financial procedures.
  • Develop and maintain financial systems to optimize operations and reporting.
  • Provide financial analysis to support strategic decision-making by management.
  • Ensure accurate and timely tax filings and compliance with tax regulations.
  • Prepare ad hoc financial analyses and reports as requested by stakeholders.

Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Professional certification such as CPA, CMA, or CA is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in accounting and financial reporting roles.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations, standards, and reporting practices.
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and financial management systems is essential.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with various departments.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
