Roles & Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Student Support & Intervention
    • Identify students needs and design tailored intervention plans
    • Implement and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
    • Provide direct support in one-on-one and small-group settings
    • Adapt teaching methods and materials to diverse learning profiles
  • Collaboration & Communication
    • Partner with classroom teachers to integrate inclusive strategies
    • Maintain ongoing dialogue with parents about progress and concerns
    • Coordinate with external specialists for additional support
    • Lead review meetings to evaluate and adjust interventions
  • Assessment & Compliance
    • Conduct assessments to gauge learning needs and track growth
    • Keep accurate records of interventions, progress reports and recommendations
    • Ensure adherence to school policies and SEN regulatory standards
  • Professional Development
    • Stay current on best practices and intervention strategies in special education
    • Attend workshops and training to refine your skill set
    • Mentor peers on effective inclusive education techniques
  • Health & Well-Being
    • Create a safe, supportive environment that promotes emotional and social growth
    • Implement strategies to build students self-esteem and independence

Desired Candidate Profile

Education

  • Bachelor s or Master s degree in Special Education (mandatory)
  • B.Ed. (mandatory)
  • Experience
    • Minimum 2 years in a special-education role within a school setting
    • Availability to join immediately
  • Skills & Attributes
    • Expertise in SEN policies, intervention techniques and assessment tools
    • Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
    • Ability to adapt instruction for varied learning abilities
    • Proficiency with assistive technology and educational tools
    • Empathetic, patient and student-centered approach
    • Commitment to continuous professional growth
