Roles & Responsibilities
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Sous Chef to join our dynamic culinary team. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a passion for cooking, and the ability to execute high-quality dishes with precision and consistency. As a Sous Chef, you will play a pivotal role in assisting the Head Chef with menu development, kitchen staff management, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in the development and implementation of menus.
- Coordinate and oversee daily kitchen operations and ensure smooth workflow.
- Supervise all kitchen personnel, providing training and performance feedback.
- Ensure all food is prepared consistently and meets restaurant quality standards.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to deliver high-quality food preparation and presentation.
- Maintain kitchen inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure adequate stock levels.
- Monitor and ensure kitchen adheres to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Lead by example in executing tasks with attention to detail and efficiency.
- Assist in managing kitchen budgets and control food costs effectively.
- Develop new recipes and contribute innovative ideas for menu improvements.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure sanitation, cleanliness, and organization.
- Manage special dietary requests and demonstrate flexibility and attentiveness.
Requirements
- Culinary degree or equivalent experience in a similar role is required.
- Proven experience in a high-volume kitchen, preferably as a Sous Chef.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to train and mentor staff.
- Strong understanding of food safety and health regulations and compliance.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure with excellent time management skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by scheduling needs.
